--------Campers ages 8-18. Space is limited to 6/7 campers.-----
**Cost is $500.00 for the week.
--Deposit of $175.00(non-refundable) is due at time of sign up. RSVP below with Name and Age of Camper. Directions for Deposit will follow.
** Beginner- An individual that has NO or little experience with horses. Comfortable being around horse but has not ridden alone. Beginners can also be those who have experience at the walk during a guided trail ride or being lead by someone.
**Intermediate Beginner- An advanced beginner is an individual who is comfortable riding at the walk comfortably alone and can navigate outside of a round pen or small arena. This rider can comfortably lead, groom, and assist with haltering and saddling.
**Advanced Beginner- an individual that is comfortable at the walk and jog/trot. This individual has the ability to halter , lead, tie and groom with little assistance. Saddling is done with assistance only because of size of horse. An Advanced beginner may have had lessons and or in a riding program. This rider has basic riding position and can navigate the arena with little help.
Intermediate- An individual that is comfortable haltering from a group of horses, leading, tying, grooming, and saddling alone or with very little help. This individual has ridden at the walk, jog/trot, has the understanding of diagonals and is in the stages of learning to lope/canter. Intermediate riders may also have experience in the competition arena. Walk/trot gymkhana(speed/gaming events) or may have experience in hunter/jumper small fry classes.
Advanced Intermediate- An individual that is confident in haltering, leading, tying, grooming, saddling, bridling, and mounting with very little help. This rider will also be confident in the three gates: walk, jog/trot, lope/canter. This rider will be familiar with diagonals and how to discern the difference between them. This rider will also know leads and will have the basic formula to cue for the correct lead.
Advanced Rider- This individual is confident and independent in handling horses. This individual seeks help only when handling new or challenging horses. This rider will be experienced in one or more disciplines and will have developed skills to help solve horsemanship issues. This individual will seek new and challenging experiences. The advanced rider will have knowledge of horsenalities, bitology, and how the equipment affects the horse and rider.
